Table 81B is a dining table designed by Alvar Aalto in 1935, with a table top combined with his classic L-legs. The curved birch L-leg was patented in 1933 and became an ubiquitous component in Aalto's furniture design.
Aalto’s tables embody systems thinking also in the way tables of different sizes can be combined. Tables can be combined into various big or small designs.
The top is lacquered birch veneer. The top is 4 cm thick with a birch edge band. The L-legs are made of lacquered natural birch. The desk is delivered with legs unattached.
