The PK22 chair is a true design classic that lifted Danish designer Poul Kjærholm among the greats of design. Designed in 1956, the PK22 chair was an immediate hit and won the Grand Prix at the Milan Triennial in 1957.
The shape of the PK22 chair is based on the first chair designed by Kjærholm, the PK25. Both chairs are united by an interest in ordinary industrial materials and sophisticated technology. The designer's goal was to create simple and practical furniture using as few parts as possible. All of Kjærholm’s products feature his initials, PK, in their names.
The frame is made of chrome-plated brushed steel. The seat is upholstered in Rustik leather which acquires a beautiful patina over time. Seat height 35 cm.
