The classic Skovby #33 dining table features an elegant, rounded design with a surprisingly organic look when extended. This four-person table can be easily extended to seat up to eight people.
The patented extension mechanism of table #33 is concealed under the table tops. The three-part table top opens synchronously when the MDF flange under the top is rotated clockwise. The three extension pieces stored inside the central leg pop up with a light push.
This table was designed more than 30 years ago by Skovby's chief designer Per Hånsbaek. Hånsbaek got the idea for the extension mechanism from the spring of a ball-point pen and bayonet socket of a cordless drill.
This oak veneer table is 149 cm long when extended. You should give the table a coat of oil at least 2–3 times a year, depending on use. We recommend oiling the table before and after winter when the changes in temperature and air humidity are greatest. For best results, sand the surface of the table lightly before oiling.
