This acrylic-coated fabric by Artek is graced by Alvar Aalto’s Siena pattern. It is delivered in pre-cut pieces. A coated tablecloth is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth. You can use leftover pieces for example as shelf covers.
The graphic pattern is named after the city of Siena in Italy. Aalto is said to have visited Siena several times and been enchanted by the city, especially by the Piazza del Duomo cathedral. It is said that the Siena pattern was inspired by the black-and-white marble pattern on the cathedral walls.
The fabric is made of acrylic-coated cotton.
