The Finnish design icon Artek turned 85 in 2020. This work by artist Karoliina Hellberg was added to Artek’s poster collection to mark the occasion.
Artek's 85th anniversary poster is Hellberg's personal experience of Artek: while visiting the home of architect couple Alvar and Aino Aalto on Riihitie in Helsinki, she was particularly taken by the courtyard with its gardens and terrace.
This original painting is done in watercolour, ink and acrylics. The poster is offset-printed on Keaykolour China White paper in Finland.
