The Orient by Fritz Hansen is a classic lamp created by Danish designer Jo Hammerborg in 1963. The pendant was put back in production in 2013 in close cooperation with the designer's heirs.
The palisander detail on the shade and the drop-like shape resembling an onion combine into a timeless luminaire. The inward-bending edge reflects the light from the bulb downwards through the inner edges of the shade, making the Orient suitable for ambient lighting in the living room or bedroom as well as over the dining table.
