The Stedge designed by Leonard Aldenhoff creates a visual illusion of shelves suspended against the wall by a single metal wire. However, the thin shelves of the restrained Stedge are fastened securely in place with screws, and the rigid metal wires merely run between them.
The unit includes two 60 cm wide shelves made of solid oak. The look of the shelf can be varied with additional Stedge shelves available separately.
The wire running between the shelves is made of black-painted metal. The package includes two metal wires of different lengths for installing either a short or a long shelf.
Assembly instructions and the required screws are also included in the package. The maximum load of one shelf is 10 kg.
