The Atelier chair was designed for the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm. It received its name from the space it was designed for – a restaurant reminiscent of an artist’s atelier.
The perfect proportions and bold lines of the Atelier chair are set off by low-key, yet elegant details. For example, the crossbar blends into the front legs as if embracing them, giving the chair a gentle, informal look.
The graceful and lightweight Atelier is perfect for double duty around the dining table and in the home office.
Stockholm-based TAF Studio designed the Atelier in collaboration with Artek to be a multi-purpose chair for both public and private spaces. Founded by Gabriella Gustafson and Mattias Ståhlbom, TAF Studio is a design and architecture firm on a mission to design products for everyday use with deep respect for their context and origin.
The material is red painted beech. Chair seat height 45.5 cm.
