Floor Light A808 by Artek is a delicate classic designed by Alvar Aalto. The thin painted metal rings of the shade gently diffuse light. The round shade creates an interesting contrast with the understated black stem and slender neck of the floor light.
Alvar Aalto designed this graceful floor lamp in 1955 for the KELA Head Office building in Helsinki but, as classics do, it has since found its way into a number of stylish homes as well.
The A808 provides soft light for the reading corner, office or living room.
The neck of the floor light is made of polished brass and the striking stem of steel covered with black leather. Length of black plastic cable 2.5 m.
