The Lukki chair by Artek is designed to be a practical piece of furniture, but this popular classic also manages to look pretty doing it. Ilmari Tapiovaara designed the Lukki series for the Helsinki University of Technology's student dormitory in 1951.
Thanks to the short armrests of the Lukki, you can pull the chair comfortably right up to the dining table or desk. The light and durable chair is also stackable, so it is a great choice when extra seating is needed for guests.
The seat is form-pressed birch plywood with a beech veneer surface, the frame of matte painted steel tube. Seat height 45 cm.
