Pendant Light A201 by Artek is a beautiful classic from the past, now back in production.
The A201 is the work of Alvar Aalto from 1954. The boldly simplistic shade of the pendant is made of two nested cylinders, bringing to mind a top hat. The perforated inner ring at the lower edge of the pendant is one of Aalto's hallmark methods for reducing glare. Like all pendants in Artek’s collection, the A201 casts a warm natural light, with a perfect balance between direct and indirect light.
The simple shape of the pendant makes it an elegant, low-key addition to almost any space. It is equally suitable for the dining table, bedroom or living room. The A201 is beautiful alone or in groups of several lamps.
Pendant Light A201 is made of white painted steel. There is a brass ring on the bottom edge of the pendant.
