The Secrets of Finland Midsummer Dream Vase by Artek almost seems to change expressions depending on whether it contains flowers, herbs or even conifer branches. Midsummer Dream is inspired by a Finnish Midsummer tradition, according to which a girl who picks seven different flowers and sleeps with them under her pillow on Midsummer's Eve will dream of her future husband. The vase is part of a collection of seven handmade ceramic objects designed by COMPANY in 2019 for Artek's FIN/JPN Friendship Collection, which celebrates the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan.
The Midsummer Dream Vase displays the beauty of each flower individually thanks to its perforated middle plate, but the naïve art style vase is a unique ornament even when empty.
The ceramic vase is hand-made in Portugal.
