The Nawabari armchair is part of Nawabari furniture collection, designed in collaboration with BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group). The collection draws inspiration from the Japanese art form of rope binding, which symbolizes the forging of close bonds. In Japanese, ’Nawa’ means rope, and ’Nawabari’ can be understood as the act of stretching rope.
The armchair is upholstered in durable and stain-resistant Frisco fabric. The fabric features a patented AquaClean treatment that makes stain removal easier. The upholstery fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it is produced without harmful chemicals. The sofa has black powder-coated metal legs.
