The Ball Chair is one of the icons of Finnish furniture design. Eero Aarnio designed the Ball Chair in 1963, and the 1966 Cologne Furniture Fair catapulted the chair to international stardom. It quickly became a cult item of the pop era, and its reputation was further enhanced by magazine covers, movies and the trend-aware influencers of the time.
The secret of the chair’s popularity lies in its simple, futuristic design. Sitting in the Ball Chail, you will naturally forget the outside world and float in your own private bubble.
The Ball Chair is made from fibreglass and upholstered with high-quality EA2021 fabric from Eero Aarnio Originals, developed specifically for the Ball Chair. Made from 80% wool and 20% polyamide, the fabric is durable and designed to retain its beauty over time. The chair features an aluminium base.
Please note that the Ball Chair fits through doorways with a minimum width of 82 cm.
