Architect Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg armchair as part of the interior of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The chair gives complete privacy to its occupant but can be turned to face your companion. The armchair also works well in a group of several chairs.
The Egg armchair is upholstered in soft Essential leather, which is very durable in use. Essential leather is from Europe, dyed-through, and surface-treated to withstand heavy wear. The surface of the leather has been repaired for possible beauty defects, such as insect bites, wrinkles and scars, and the surface pattern typical of leather is printed throughout. Essential leather is flexible, easy to care for and repels dirt better than porous leather grades. Even in heavy use, the soft-surfaced leather retains its surface and colour over the years.
Seat height 37 cm. Please note that the chair is not equipped with a swivel return mechanism.
