Fritz Hansen Egg Chair Grace Leather Black

Architect Arne Jacobsen designed the Egg armchair as part of the interior of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The chair gives complete privacy to its occupant but can be turned to face your companion. The armchair also works well in a group of several chairs.

The Egg armchair is upholstered in black Grace aniline leather. A degree of natural blemishes, wrinkles and imperfections are allowed in genuine, uncorrected leather. Therefore, each product upholstered in aniline leather is unique, making aniline leather a valued material. Leather that has not been surface-treated is sensitive to light and staining, which leave their marks on the colour and surface over the years. That is why old aniline leather often acquires a distinctive, beautiful patina.

Seat height 37 cm. Please note that the chair is not equipped with a swivel return mechanism.
