Designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro, the Perhonen floor lamp combines transformable colour elements with a minimalist black metal frame. The personal floor lamp is recognisably Kukkapuro's handprint and was originally designed for Kukkapuro's experimental studio house in 1968. It took its final form in the late 1980s when the colours and shapes of the postmodern wave flooded into domestic design. In 2023, the Perhonen is in production at Innolux for the first time. The Perhonen is a member of the Innolux Heritage collection, which features new production domestic lighting classics.
The Perhonen lamp is crowned by acrylic sheets of different colours, from which light gently shines through. The floor lamp has a black powder-coated metal arm. The luminaire is finished by spectacular screws acting as fasteners for the colourful plexiglass.
Black plastic cord length 3 meters. The height of the luminaire is adjustable from 100 to 165 cm.
