The snail-inspired Swirl by Le Klint is a stunning lamp for any space. The creator of the lamp, Danish designer Øivind Slaatto, wanted to combine nature and mathematics. Slaatto was fascinated not only by the shape of the snail shell, but also by the animal’s slowness and sense of time standing still. His mathematical influences for the lamp include the Fibonacci sequence.
The spiral-shaped shade creates a beautiful continuum in the viewer's mind: there is movement in the lamp, even though it is completely motionless. This Swirl lamp is suitable for mounting on both ceilings and walls. The components of the shade both reflect light around them and protect the eyes from the glare of the bulb.
