The Grand Repos armchair by Vitra saw daylight in 2011, when Vitra and Italian industrial designer Antonio Citterio teamed up to create the optimally comfortable armchair that would adapt to the needs of different homes and people.
The Grand Repos armchair features a tilting mechanism that allows adjusting the backrest from an erect posture to an almost reclining position.
The armchair is upholstered in Cosy felt fabric, which is 80% wool and 20% polyamide. The leg is made of polished aluminium. The neck cushion is filled with feathers.
