The Eames Storage Units shelf by Vitra is an attractive and convenient piece of storage furniture for many different spaces.
The spacious ESU shelf serves as storage in the home office, a side table in the kitchen, or a space divider in the living room. The height of the metal legs can be individually adjusted for stability on uneven floors.
The frame is made of powder-coated metal and aluminium, and the shelves of lacquered maple plywood with a birch veneer surface. Charles and Ray Eames designed the innovative, free-standing ESU shelf collection in 1949. The new colours have been developed in collaboration with the Eames Office and Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, with respect for the spirit of the 1940s and 50s.
