Pendant Light AMA 500 by Artek is a beautiful classic from the past, now back in production.
The AMA 500 is the work of Aino Aalto from 1941. The beautiful shade of the pendant is surrounded by a perforated brass ring, one of the Aalto couple’s hallmark methods for reducing glare. Like all lamps in Artek’s collection, the AMA 500 casts a warm natural light, with a perfect balance between direct and indirect light.
The simple shape of the pendant makes it an elegant, low-key addition to almost any space. It is equally suitable for the dining table, bedroom or living room. The AMA 500 has the character to shine on its own, but it also looks great as a couple.
The AMA 500 is made of painted steel. The ring at the bottom is made of brass-plated steel.
Beginning this October, Artek is offering pendant or wall light buyers a Light Tasting gift package that includes three different bulbs for different lighting scenarios. The package’s E27 bulbs are dimmable. The warm, atmospheric bulb in the Light Tasting gift package is great for reading or lighting an intimate kitchen table. The warm and bright light, on the other hand, is ideal for lighting a large dining room table, while cool and strong light is recommended for hallway or workspace lighting.
